If you’re in the market for a new car, chances are you’re waiting to see the new models for 2017. You want to know what’s worth your hard-earned cash when you hit the market. From six-figure sports cars to pickups and electric vehicles, here are some of the most exciting 2017 car models to watch.

Acura NSX Type-R

The original NSX was manufactured between 1990 and 2005. The NSX became the first Japanese car deemed equal to Porsche or Ferrari.

The model has sustained a loyal following, keeping the resale prices at an all-time high. The story resembles that of the Acura NSX Type-R, which is expected to be developed as a 2017 model.

The car is projected to be a hybrid design, initially powered by a twin turbocharged engine of about 400hp with possibly three electric motors. You should expect to get the kind of oomph you get out of an electric-powered vehicle. The total output of this model is still unknown, but it should be 3.3 seconds, topping out at 200mph. The starting price will be about $150,000.

Ford Escape SE

People who favor the spice of a sports performance over the humdrum of the average, the Ford Escape SE is the best buy for 2017. The model has a freshened style, new engine, and upgraded features. It is rated as one of the liveliest turbocharged four cylinders in the class. It is a stylish quick runner under $30,000 with many discounts.

Chevrolet Bolt

GM introduced the Chevrolet Bolt as a concept car in January and wasted no time in showing how serious they are about the machine. It is expected sometime in 2017 and will be built at the company’s Orion, Michigan Assembly Unit. The production would be very helpful to people as the firm plans to build 25,000 to 30,000 a year, versus 18,000 Volts last year.

The target price is $30,000 after tax incentives, which are estimated at $7,500, putting it at a starting price of $37,500. It is an ambitious goal for producing a car with a much larger battery at about three times the size of the company’s existing batteries, while meeting their local pricing commitments.

Audi A4

The Audi A4 is the best premium compact car for people looking for a solid balance of safety features, technology, luxury, and performance. It is a fifth generation debut with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The high-performance vehicle is among the most fuel-efficient models in this segment. It will involve a cosmetic facelift, feature updates; some cool interiors and could serve to introduce a plug-in hybrid or gas-electric hybrid model.

Tesla Model 3

Finally, a Tesla for people on a budget. The small sedan is set to achieve a driving range of at least 250 miles on a single charge. It is an improvement over the previous 200-mile range. Starting at $35,000 dollars, the pre-bate price sounds like a fair deal compared to the 325-mile range of the much more expensive Tesla Model S.

Moreover, the price undercuts the upcoming Chevrolet Bolt by a whole $3,000. It seems like this model will have a volume that can fully utilize the production capacity of the mother GM/NUMMI factory.

Honda Civic Hatchback

For those on a budget, looking for a car under 20k, it’s hard to go wrong with a Civic, let alone the new Civic Hatchback expected to come out in 2017. The first of its kind for years, it sports a shape similar to the Dodge Magnum, but with a sleeker design, a lower price tag, better gas mileage, and the perseverance of a Honda.
